  • Overview

    The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall condition of the resort. The maintenance of the facility includes all building structures, all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, HVAC systems, furniture, fixtures, decor and appliances. The Maintenance Manager is also responsible for ensuring the upkeep of guest common areas and maintaining an attractive resort. Duties include overseeing grounds-keeping, parking, roads, swimming pools, recreational facilities, and related equipment.

     

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    * A minimum of 5 years relevant manager or management experience within a ma’ ance department supervising other associates.

    * HVAC Certification

    * Certi e in Pool Mechanics and repairs

    * ust be able to push/pull 300lbs

    * Must be able to lift l50lbs

    * Proficient working knowledge of internet and Microsoft (word, excel, email)

    * Strong guest service skills.

    * Exceptional organizational skills and an effective problem solver.

    * Strong computer skill-set.

    * Hands-on roficienc in all buildin trades: electrical, lumbin ,

    painting, masonry, carpentry, stucco.

    * Skilled in the proper and safe use of all equipment, tools, products, and materials relating to the department

    * Preferred certification or a thorough working understanding of electrical systems, , boilers, mechanical systems, as well as the repair and maintenance of similar systems.

    * Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with and instruct associates from the Maintenance Department and the other resort divisions.

    * Familiar with OSHA, safety and labor practices.

    * Exceptional organizational skills and an effective problem solver.

    * Strong computer skill-set. Able to write budgets, make accurate forecasts, projections and reports.

    * Hands-on proficiency in all building trades: electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry, carpentry, stucco.

    * Skilled in the proper and safe use of all equipment, tools, products, and materials relating to the department

    * Preferred certification OR a thorough working understanding of electrical systems, HVAC, boilers, mechanical systems, Kaba Door, Synergy MMS Management and Key Watcher Management

    * Hardware as well as the repair and maintenance of similar systems.

    * Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with and instruct associates from the Maintenance Department and the other resort divisions.

    * Familiar with payroll procedures, OSHA, safety and labor practices.

    Essential Functions

    Major responsibilities include maintaining inventory, cost controls, purchasing, training, inspecting, motivating, and managing a skilled workforce.
